If you do contract alpha-gal syndrome, though, genetically modified meat may be an option. Recently, pigs have been genetically modified to remove alpha-gal sugars so their organs can be transplanted in humans with a lower chance of rejection. The leftover meat can be used as food for people with alpha-gal syndrome.

jesus christ that plug for eating shit that could function as human organs/function as a human would. i mean this is a fucking terrifying thing but this, fuck i consider myself extremely open minded when it comes to eating new shit but that is a realm of depravity that i really did not expect to be pitched so nonchalantly

Wife got it last year. She can't remember ever being bitten.

Found 4 ticks on me in the last 10 days with two being deer and two lone star. Last time this year was just about the same ratio.

Ticks are bad in the Midwest, Wore netting to mushroom hunt. Still brought a few home.

They've been over the top for awhile but I keep finding myself heading down animal paths so that could have a bit to do with it. The first tick last year was lone star though. They're more noticeable now.

I can only think of a couple of ticks, Between my brother and I, through out our whole childhood. Crazy

I had read about about permethrin, looks good. Haven’t ventured out innawoods for a few years, my favorite mushroom spots are inaccessible now. And the lack of rain.
