Yea that’s a pretty good point bro. This is only gonna effect the people who actually had something before they fucked up. Even if the state garnished paychecks for the child support after release from prison that would just incentivise them not to work unless it’s under the table. Excellent observation on your part.

This is true. I've heard how broke people have paralyzed others and got nothing because the suspect was broke.

The majority of the states don't have that on the books and work release leading to child support errars is on the books in (some of) the other 20.

So there are very few accidents that aren't avoidable by someone.

We aren't talking about who broke a traffic law.

You can still look before going through a green light etc.

I always do. I have avoided many accidents by expecting the other person to do the stupid wrong thing and looking twice.

Problem is the limits are way too low for being "drunk".

You literally can't drink at all any more.

So you have one drink. There is a no fault accident. You get blamed and you have to pay child support the rest of your life?

Maybe instead people should be blamed for not choosing safer cars?
