I don't understand how they support themselves. Granted many Gen Z are still in early 20s or teens. If they are in school, they may be living off loans or parents. It is an odd trend that young people no longer have much desire to be independent.
They live with their parents and do side gigs here and there. They don't take out (((Credit cards))) there are articles on this crying that they should. It's funny.

Not the problem. The problem is the cost of entry to independence is so high it's not worth it. I used to blame them but I don't naymore after I thought about it. College for instance. Your entire in school (9 mo / 12) time could be paid for with a summer job and this included tuition + rent. Your fun was then added with a weekend job.
