Maybe. You can also view it as the man was weak. He probably allowed all of his wife’s Satanic nonsense and she viewed that as weakness and didn’t respect him anymore.

Just for the kids you got to have at least a plan. Just killing her and killing himself afterward was weak, stupid, unnecessary, dumb etc etc
