The globalists, and rulers love to consolidate production so that they create a "bottleneck on demand". If we still had tons of airlines, multiple companies refining oil, and smaller slaughterhouses; we would have way fewer problems getting what we need. I think states should be taking this up, and stop incentivizing larger players who can be out of county, state, or even country.
You're right, but state legislators can be bought, just like senators and 'congresspersons'. (don't want to get in trouble with the gender police.)
the further separated a representative is from the people the easier it is for the to become corrupt. It is also much harder to lobby every county than it is to lobby one city.
