I've been on eight flights in the past five months. Two each in September, October, and November. One each in August and December. I've got two trips planned for January. I will say this. Flying sucks. It has never been this bad in my life and I've been traveling for work since the late 80s.
My boss knows that my flights can be canceled at the last minute for no reason at all. So far it's only happened to me once.
Flying for work would fucking blow. I hate flying so much.
I hate flying so much.
It is definitely much worse than it used to be. Between TSA and Covid craziness it's more of a hassle than ever.
I haven't experienced it during the Plandemic times, but I already hated it due to the TSA. I also loathe wearing the face muzzle, gives me headaches from lack of oxygen.
I'm glad I don't have to fly. The farthest my region extends is about 300 miles.

I fly enough to be in Boarding Group 1 but not enough to get bumped up to first class. It's a shifty sort of limbo.
HQ for me now is too far to drive but I'm going to spend some more time on this next trip looking at neighborhoods and condo communities. There's nothing really keeping me here so if we can swing it financially we're going to buy something.
That was one of the Carolinas?
my boss
There are alternatives, you know.
There are alternatives, you know.
Yeah, I drive as often as I can. I only fly if it's more than 10 or 12 hours.
No, I'm saying you don't have to have a boss. You also don't have to keep jumping through hoops like you're in some circus act.
There used to be alternative flight lists for private jets. I forget the names but you could post where you want to go and they might have a seat available. The prices were very reasonable.
It was explained to me that it works like as follows. Some rich guy charters a private jet from say texas to California then from there the jet needs to fly empty to Detroit to pick up another rich guy going to Florida. These flights are to fill the seats from cali to Detroit.
I am having trouble recalling the name of the service.
That seems like it might be worth digging into.
