Where are the states to protect themselves? Where's Texas lining up Texas rangers along the border? Where is New Mexico where is Arizona where are their agents? The constitutional convention bound the states to the Constitution and therefore a federal government. But since the federal government isn't providing the necessary protections the states can secede. Why isn't this happening? America is a philosophical idea, it never really truly existed though. All you have to do is read history books to realize they were surprised that even made it past George Washington. I think Texas needs to threaten breaking away I think it will start a whole chain of events.
