No doubt that Wright was a piece of shit who was going to meet such an end at some point. So that is irrelevant to this case though.
The bigger point I think to take away from this case, and Rittenhouse is that prosecutors are not upholding their mission. They are supposed to be interested in the pursuit of justice, not necessarily the conviction of the accused at all costs. This sort of malfeasance appears to be very common. Most of the time it doesn't matter because the people being tried at guilty as fuck and deserve what they get. But occasionally people who aren't guilty get utterly fucked over by the system. There is now also a distinct political/ ideological flavour to prosecutorial bias. You can not be convicted on the basis of the groups that the accused and victim are ascribed.
