The standard for manslaughter is criminal recklessness, not negligence. Yes, "it was an accident" is a defence against manslaughter.
Her actions were stupid and negligent, but not criminally reckless unless you think she conciously used her gun. Evidence for that was not presented by the prosecution. But they did conflate negligence and recklessness in their closing argument, confusing the legal definition of reckless with the colloquial definition.

Maybe, and I appreciate the legal clarification. I have a hard time accepting that. Some accidents are so negligent you have to be held accountable.

No doubt that Wright was a piece of shit who was going to meet such an end at some point. So that is irrelevant to this case though.
The bigger point I think to take away from this case, and Rittenhouse is that prosecutors are not upholding their mission. They are supposed to be interested in the pursuit of justice, not necessarily the conviction of the accused at all costs. This sort of malfeasance appears to be very common. Most of the time it doesn't matter because the people being tried at guilty as fuck and deserve what they get. But occasionally people who aren't guilty get utterly fucked over by the system. There is now also a distinct political/ ideological flavour to prosecutorial bias. You can not be convicted on the basis of the groups that the accused and victim are ascribed.
It is odd how now a days we don't even go back to the original event! If the fucking nigger had just complied nothing would have happend except he would have eventually killed someone and this female cop would probaboy have got a male officer killed at some point. Some one stated above it worked out one dead criminal and one incompent cop not fucking things up...
