Well, they're not wrong. If your business model is doing things for "the busy elite," you had better damn well do things you promised to the busy elite. Contracts are not more or less enforceable because of how you feel about the parties to the contract.
It's always disheartening to be reminded of how many people just cannot separate their emotions from thought. "But I feel like the customer is a dick, so it's not so bad to breech a contract."
