If I personally watched the court bailiff clear and check that rifle and immediately hand the DA that rifle, I wouldn't give 1 fuck if that DA pointed that rifle at me and pulled the trigger. That rifle, in a courtroom, had been checked a half a dozen times just to bring it there to the courtroom. Not to mention the clearing at the crime scene, the clearing after the ballistics test, in a controlled environment, where all rounds are accounted for.
The movie Rust had zero people even look at that pistol prior to handing it to Baldwin. Baldwin didn't check it, neuter did the bitch who got shot check it. And that was on a movie set.
