School board are very local. If you can't protest at the school board meeting, I strongly suggest using a bull horn and protesting at the school board members house. In most states it's legal to go knock on the front door and ask to speak to the homeowner regardless of whether you were invited. When they ask you to leave, just let the next protester knock on the door and voice their opinion.
