They’re just doing that now? They’re about 2 or 3 years behind Oregon on that one.
They have been trying to do it since Moonbeam was in office the second time. It is really disturbing how fast they are moving on things since he "beat" the recall.
They did it here, started ripping everything down, prices skyrocketed and then we went to Portland a few months later to hang out with friends and anyone who owned, not rented had put gates into their back yards and were renting lots out for $200 a month, just full of small trailers and tents.
So the place became full of hipsters in high density mini apartments that were expensive as hell and “homeless”, the former people living that used to rent the cheap houses before being torn down for the hipsters. And now most lived in back yards.
Weird as shit.
