The first rush of panic buying (back in 2020) was caused by people worried about the coming "pandemic". This is being driven from the other end. Intentional or not, this is real, and a big problem. Think of all those ships off shore, swinging at anchor. I would strongly advise stocking up (if you haven't already). And if you have already stocked up, stock up some more.
