Talk about a make work jobs program.
You'd need a million employees just to inspect the over $600 transactions of the rest of America... and it is doubtful even a million could do it.
You miss the point. They're pushing for this now because they have AI to analyze the transactions now.
Yeah, and every time the stupid software flags something, some human being has to follow it up, times the spending habits of 300+ million Americans. That's literally millions of investigations.
They have neither the manpower, nor resources, for any of this. So they have to wind back the program to flag only the very most suspect transactions, and how effective is that? A waste of money better spent on collecting taxes.
This is some kind of PR bullshit announcement - though I don't doubt they will actually try it and fail - your average government employee is not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.
