I drove a school bus and quit 2 weeks ago along with others in CA. Currently the district has the transportation supervisor, dispatcher, 3 mechanic’s and 2 vaccinated retired working. They dropped 2 routes and told parents sorry you have to take/pick up your children. This is a rural small town in gold country.

The supervisor said they will drop all routes as they need to transporting special needs as last priority. No clue how it’s going for teachers.

I would go to the PTA meeting and explain to the parents why their routes were dropped.

Parents know. The one who’s routes weren’t dropped don’t care since they aren’t affected yet. The others that are effected get told by the transportation supervisor there is no drivers. She always ask parents if they want to train for driving a bus.

I'm getting an error on the archive. https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/school-bus-drivers-and-cops-quit-students-stage-walkouts-police-sue-protest

I heard a story about bus driver shortage on NPR. There talking about how difficult it was for school systems to deal with it and how it was causing school closures. Funny how no mention of vax or mask mandates causing the shortages.

Yeah, archive is being a little bitch right now.

They'd never say that it was because of their silly mandates, that would destroy the narrative and make people question things.

Just another example of state sponsored media bias.
