The word "white" is used once (followed by "supremacist", of course). But I suspect the "hate crimes" they speak of are black on asian, or asian on black, or perhaps latino-caucasian on black.
The only "white supremacy"-type crimes I've seen in the news recently are the brain-dead father and son who ran down some blacks on 4-wheelers, and that dumbass couple that drove by that black birthday party with Confederate flags on their pickup...and it seems like that one was two or three years ago. Maybe they're counting that jogger incident, and maybe hate hoaxes as well.
Fwiw, it's an assholeciated press article, so Black and Asian are capitalized, while white is lower-case.
What a farse. Why do they seem to only count it as a “hate crime” when it’s against minority’s, and seem rarely they count as (the much higher stat) blacks on white horrendous crimes?
