The smart ones were already planning their exit when it was first announced and are gone. You only have the ones that were scared to get out from a few ways quickly with an honorable, but you look bad and are stuck. Or the ones who didn’t believe it would happen and are now stuck. First thing you learn, adapt and overcome. Second, if you’re not perpetrating, you’re not trying, if you get caught perpetrating you’re not trying hard enough. They basically tell you to break the stupid rules and if you’re not you’re an idiot and if you get caught you’re an idiot. It’s the government, so many scams and ways out of and into doing the things you want but some are to scared to try or get caught and look stupid. I took one flu vax in basic. After I was at my duty station I became friends with the medics and never took one again, they just signed off. Bad hangover, if you were their friend they’d secretly open the aid station and they and their friends would get iv’s. Want out, tell a nco you’re friends with and you’ll get written up over fake shit and discharged or they’ll have you fail a physical fitness test and a month later the second one and your gone. Go awol for 21 days, not over 28 and you get an honorable after 2 weeks over extra labor.
