AZ here We are a desert. We have seasonal mansoons that give us a year of water in an hour. Lake mead is fed from other damns up the colorado river. They all have slowed down how much water is released. Fun fact the CO river used to have seasonal floods, with warm muddy water. Now because its fed from dams, its ice cold and clear. Great for the native fish species of course. All our reservoirs were over filled a couple years ago, after years of draught. Now this year we have a strong monsoon season filling the reservoirs. Now CA is fucked. Im OK with AZ seizing control of the CO River.
