Cash For Clunkers was specifically done to get cars that you could fix yourself and didn't need a computer board to operate out of use.
Does anyone else resent being treated like a criminal as a matter of course by our government? I do. These liberal assholes have no business assuming I'm going to get drunk and drive my car.
Your reasonable question will fall on the ears that are ringing with the oft repeated phrase "for the greater good". Those same ears will gladly endorse this "safety" measure even if it means they are judged guilty until proven innocent simply because they have been conditioned to believe that fear is virtuous. They are so desperate to feel safe that they will trade anything and everything to have Big Daddy Government make them feel safe. They will never be safe, especially from Big Daddy Government. Freedom dies in darkness and silence.
Liberty aspect aside. They keep piling on 'safety' features that drive up the prices of new cars, when new cars are already unaffordable for vast amounts of Americans.
