The Supreme Court specifically said they exceeded their authority, but didn't lift the ban because it only had four days left to run anyway.

The problem is localities and courts will still take this as valid.

It's great when landlords have to pay property taxes, or electric and water bills for tenants without getting any rent back to pay for it.

Yeah, cal tenant defense. The feds made mortgage lenders modify their commercial loans on these properties placing arrears at the end of the loan, so they should equitably be required to pass along the bump. That, said, there seems to be a breakdown of "late stage" capitalism where we're just printing $Trillions and have historically low participation rates in the jobs market. An estimate between 8 and 11 million fams are in arrears in rent. Those are revolutionary numbers if they are all put out on the street. Ask Marx, downward social mobility is a time which is ripe for organizing.

Oh good why not? Since we're taking away people's property rights, how about we also take away the bodily autonomy while we're at it. Pettifogger-Bro, I'm sure you've noticed that I can't stand cops, but something like this is pretty abhorrent.

CDC? Holy Toe Tapping Christ (((They))) have given highest authority to an unelected entity. If they can do this, they can order vaccine passes and lock downs.
