It's absolutely ridiculous how long it was going on. I got 2 extensions to my unemployment, ended up being about 80 weeks @ $650 a week. To do nothing. I got a new job now, but I still had 38 weeks available, I can't imagine how many wouldn't.
Last summer, I was making $1080 a week sitting on my ass. I finally landed a decent job in September, but nothing was paying that well. It was completely insane.
Good on you, I used the time to find an awesome job, this one is going to fly me around the world. I milked it but made use of the time.
I was really torn. It was some awesome money, so I used the time to be a bit picky with a job. I knew it would end, so I wasn't too picky.
At least, I thought it would end. I was wrong.
The job I landed gave me some nice titles to my name and lets me work with some cool stuff. It opened a few doors that most people don't get the opportunity to open.
