I guess forcing people to wear masks isn't enough. According to this some vague "security threat" caused the crew to force passengers to keep their hands on their head for the last 45-60 minutes of the flight. They were also told not to record this lunacy. I wonder what would/did happen to those passengers who didn't remain in this awkward position?

And my husband doesn't understand why I refuse to fly anywhere.

It would be nice if market forces could correct this insanity, but the airlines just get bailed out before any correction can happen. Thankfully, I haven't had a need to fly in the last few years, but I don't know what I'm going to do if the need arises. Apparently, you could get cross country in a little more than 25 hours using a rental ford mustang during the height of the lock downs. Seems a little overboard, but still better than flying.

The lunacy is that they all did it

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. No one just said "no, I'm going back to sleep" and ignored them. Or better yet, told them "no, go make me a sandwich."
