I appreciate the response! I'm not quite in a position to take advantage of this but it sounds excellent. I'm also in the PNW, but on a permanent basis at the moment. Stuck in communist hell, but working towards an escape plan to at least a less communist state for now.
Yeah there are lots of ways out man. PNW is dead. Seriously. Still good snowboarding on Hood but that's about it. Yeah look into foreign income tax exclusions. That is one way to do it. Another is to have non-puerto rico sourced income and live in PR. You have to be there 6 months though. That's why I didn't do that one. Last is renounce. That takes more money as you need like 150k to buy a citizenship in another country. Sucks that US gives theirs away for free and nigger shitholes charge 100k. Really shows how low the US really is. Below garbage caribbean shitholes that can't keep the power on and the water drinkable. It's crazy when you see it.
I wouldn't agree with the PNW as a whole is dead. For sure its dying, and Seattle barely has a pulse. Money is still flowing downtown but not like five years ago. Its all headed into Bellevue for now before the worst of the progressives take over. I'm 50 miles into the suburbs in a moderately conservative area for now.
