But, even if the idea presented in the article is your hypothesis, we still need to have a full investigation of the collapse and then perhaps modify the structural code, create criteria for inspection of existing buildings, and develop design recommendations for structural retrofitting of buildings along the coastline to ensure another collapse does not occur.
