Are you offended by the word Lesbian? It's just a gendered term for homosexual woman. The only gendered term I am aware of for homosexual male is Faggot. Why is that offensive? Does the mere idea of a homosexual male offend you? Who's the bigot here?
Until you can give me an unoffensive gendered term for homosexual men I am going to assume that either the word Faggot is unoffensive or that gay men are offended by the word because they are actually offended by their own existence and behavior.
