They don't want to compete with Canadian oil so they hope paying environmental groups will help. Making it a climate issue, bashing Alberta, using implications of racism, and targeted protests. Also feminists don't like men working in camps to do their work remotely because they are "mancamps" or some shit.

Its little things like this that make me want to believe that there could be an alternate universe. One that sees a worker get in that excavator, fire it up and get to work.
