300 fatasses wont even fit into the same space as 300 non fatasses to begin with so to fit that many fatties in a plane you have to have a lot less of them, so half the passengers at the same price straight up slashes your profit. THEN... you STILL have a capacity plane so you STILL have to capacity fuel and STILL have to run at full tilt to do the same work that you would normally do but this time with more weight so burning more fuel plus maybe an extra stop...
imagine if the USAF got rid of their weight requirements, youd end up with aircraft needing shittons of extra tanking.
