Never had rattlesnake, I would if I saw it on a menu though. I'll try most proteins once, never camel again though, they taste like they smell. Also rattlers strike me (no pun intended) as being at least as dangerous as the gators if not worse.

Snakes are slow and can be handled with a pole, or rat shot. A 300 pound gator has teeth and can Run, so i will take the snake hunt.

but you can accidentally step on a camouflaged snake and even a small one can kill you. Most gator strikes occur in water or along shore. Way easier to avoid than a snake who thinks your shed is a buffet.

Snake leggings. A rattlesnake bite usually does not kill and proper equipment stops their fangs. Out of hundreds of hunts only one or two people are bitten and they are careless. If you are hunting gators you have to go to the water.
