It happens every eleven years. It's not unprecedented. This is the normal weather for the region. Part of the normal sunspot cycle, heating and cooling of the Earth. When you hit the bottom of the cycle, Arctic air reaches Texas in the wintertime, as it just did. Arctic air kills the unprotected. Now they are trying to claim nobody could have predicted it, so nobody is really at fault. That's PR legal mumbo jumbo for don't sue the fuck out of us because we were gambling by cutting corners and we fucked up bigtime, It was entirely our fault, and now we are on the hook for billions in criminal liability because we just got a lot of people killed. I'll bet the engineers warned them in writing back when these corner cutting decisions were made. The lawyers should dig for that.
