I wonder why they're not telling you that the reason cases are rising nation-wide is because of states like New York, New Jersey, and Michigan having dramatic increases. States like Texas, Florida, and South Dakota are still decreasing. Hmmm. Strange.

What epidemiologists have been saying for over a year is that lockdowns don't do anything to reduce the spread of contagious diseases, they just spread it out over time and that when herd immunity is finally reached every jurisdiction will have similar numbers regardless of the actions they took. They warned that the more restrictive a state was, the more they'd experience a yo-yo effect as restrictions ease, spread begins anew, and restrictions come back. Now we're seeing exactly that. States that were less restricted got larger spikes, but now they're through the worst of it. The states that locked down are going through another spike, as they will continue to do until they reach herd immunity.
Look at the flu over the last 30 years and COVID last year. There is always a mild spike that starts in April and last until May. Every. Fucking. Year. This is nothing new.
