Supposedly all that stuff ended up at WPAFB.

Stories I've heard (take as you please) from people stationed around there that some had orders to shoot whatever came out of a particular door, no questions would be asked.

There are a lot of odd things there. One of the buildings that a company I contracted inhabits, you're not allowed on the lower floors because they're supposedly contaminated.

There is a building at Fort Detrick, MD that has had all of the windows and doors bricked up and is "off limits" for 100 years since 1960's. Also, a bunker underground at Point Loma, CA (San Diego bay), that dates back to WW2 and is permanently sealed with reinforced concrete including the air vents to the surface due to contamination from nerve gas leaks in the 1950's.

In some cases, I wouldn't be surprised; others, it's easier to nod and smile. There are some neat things though, most certainly.
