This whole UFO thing is just another distraction. It was big back in the 70s and 80s but it fell out of the public mind. Now they need it back again and now these low-level politicians are talking about it, hoping to restart it. Things are bad and the government always using lies and misdirection instead of being honest and telling people we're fucked. No one wants to hear they are fucked. It doesn't improve sales.
Now do I believe aliens are out there? YES I DO. But they are so far out, like millions of light years out there, that if our TV signals reach them our species will be long gone. Vice versa for them.
