lol. It reminds me of this issue (gitlab.com) where an imageboard app for Android got an update to specifically block a couple chans like 8chan (you can see the quote yourself there). The app was open source (the code is open and free for anyone to modify) then of course someone decided to release a separate app WITHOUT the blocklist.
What happened then is even more :clown: the app store for open-source apps F-Droid officially blocked the unlocked app and stated they will not allow it to be hosted.
The hell on Earth will be man-made. (These) People cannot let go of control, not at all. I see it across many different communities and branches. They'll love totalitarism as long their double-think makes them believe they're the democratic bunch.
Fortunately, there are other DIY social networks. Pleroma doesn't have a universal blocklist, and most instances there are open unless it's illegal in the host country.
