And even then, I'm not even sure what he considers "absolute free speech".
Because to my ear, "absolute free speech" actually means literally ANYTHING GOES. But then we all know that even if for only legal reasons, anything doesn't go on any of these platforms.
Even here, we don't have absolute free speech. If someone starts saying "I call on you all to go and kill this person", they'd get banned.
It's kinda the same way people throw around the word "democracy" to describe our form of government when in truth, democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner.. all the while, we actually live in a constitutional republic that in theory is supposed to protect the minority...which is contrary to democracy. And yet, so many people refer to us as a "democracy" anyhow.
If nothing else, this conversation further illuminates the bastardization of language in general.
