Considering how easy it is to make bots on the platform, is that any surprise that there are so many? I used to have 5 or so doing various things, mostly to see if I could do it. Cheesebot tweeted "Twenty different cheese just a dollar ninety-nine" every hour with a unix timestamp, birdbot repeated posts from the reddit gryphons sub, speedybirb posted speedchecks from my ISP, etc, etc. It's so easy to do that anyone with a bit of programming know-how can do it, and there are pre-built libraries for python and others. Make a one-time charge of $100 for the API keys with a small change fee unless there's funny stuff, and that will go away immediately.
