It's a little pessimistic for me but I can't really say you're wrong either. It definitely does seem like republicans are there to lose on purpose, to hide the reality that we live in a one party state. I mean they can't really think there is any point pandering to people who call you a Nazi and won't listen to a word you say. Mike Pence is one of the most "moderate" Republicans and they still hated him so much they actually managed to meme for once and brand him the electrocutor of the gays. Which he deserves for being such a pussy.
