I'll respond to both your comments here. I'm aware gab is a much bigger threat, but the question for musk is which is a better investment. I've not seen the same influx to gab recently that you have, but let's just assume you're right there. Musk buying gab wouldn't change google or apple's mind about allowing it on their app stores, nor do I think enough people would give a shit that Musk would shine a light on that bs to where google and apple would be forced, legally or socially, to do anything.

I disagree. It is the easiest thing in the world to miscalculate the scope of a threat from where we're sitting.

I don't even use gab, and I knew something weird was going on with it when people I know who had high follower counts on twitter before leaving, started talking about posts they made on gab.

I think a lot of people were starting to migrate to gab, very recently no less, there was some trend formation going on in the background, and the regime saw the beginnings of the problem it posed if it snowballed.

Last I checked Gab disabled the search function for hashtags and had for years.

I think this is reading too far into it. at the time gab started, ai was hot in the investment space, and any mention of it was universally a marketing gimmick. This is that.

I don't think it is reading to far into it when we acknowledge that kikes take their symbolism, telegraphing of ideas and transparency very seriously. I'll dig around the archives and see what I can find though.

But theres also a cultural strategy of claiming control over everything by 'them', because those that like to do dot-connecting (of which include a significant number of officials, investors, and other tea-leaf readers, in the millionaire and billionaire class) surmise that its probably true, and go about treating it as true, and by so doing, conferring undue influence to the origin of the very premise. and those engaged in that process, never stop to think they're the mark.

And the joke is that it doesn't even matter if it is true, what matters is if it causes all the people the world over, to pay deference to zionism.

It's just a variation of "don't talk back, or fight back, because thats what THEY WANT you to do."

Get real Torba. Nobody gives a fuck about gab. Even if you assume Musk is working for the deep state (for no apparent reason) then clearly the plan is to use this as an excuse to pass UK style hates peach laws.

Either way, elections are now decided by large scale information control. Having free speech alternatives like gab or Poal gives free thinkers a nice place for discussion, but unfortunately that's irrelevant compared to the masses of unthinking sheep.

Sadly we do not live in a society of laws and ideas. We live in a society of glowing screens and mindless repetition. The only path forward is taking control of those screens and repeating the truth as tirelessly as the current oligarchy repeats their lies.

I don't think Twitter will actually have 'free speech' back in, maybe it will have less restrictions, or more, but alternatives to twitter will remain well.
