We just made a trip across the country to go to the beach. I noticed most cashiers and hotel staff love being told Merry Christmas. White people will grin and practically yell it back. I told a black guy and a short jewy looking guy merry Christmas because I felt like not saying it would be rude. I have biases against them but they deserve the same politeness when I’m forced to interact with them. They didn’t say it back, everyone else did.
