Malcolm X was one black man I can respect in regards to what he was doing publicly. His ideas on liberal whites/ jews and conservatives, along with what you mentioned. He was all for black people keeping their own people in check. It'd be a vastly different inner city if blacks would police their own criminal behavior to keep themselves behaved.

It might be a little different, but niggers are still niggers, and there are very few good black men like him.

He understood, in numbers, we don't get along, and are easily baited into division against one another.

Malcolm X was a vigorious defender of the right to self determination and free association.

Nothing more nothing less.

And I can't see how what he believed in that case wasn't thoroughly American in that regard.

Put it this way, if two streets in a modern city, decided voluntarily to segregate, the usual suspects in the media would be in an uproar, and politicians would force desegregation on them.

Why?

Because our government is at war with our right to self determination, and does not respect local rule or the rights of the people to come to their own peaceable arrangements.
