It's a good reason to get the government out of sports. Leagues are private institutions and can do whatever the fuck they want and can define classes of participation on any lines they want. Weight, age, biological sex, skill level, race, residency, origin of birth, height, admission into an educational institution, marital status, number of existing limbs, religious affiliation, performance in other leagues, or mental capacity.
