Ya for sure , Explanation. I just read your comment and saw the AA meetings closed liquor store open comment. Which put me to thinking about AA and your intermittent sobriety. So I said welcome back (As in this could be a meeting right here) although I should have thanked you for sharing first.

It’s the same every where I was on a committee early on in this flu season and tried to get one of ours to open up. No dice the old timers and new comers are scared of the trickness. they tried doing some outdoor meetings.but I’m sure it’s too cold and wet now. The level of dastardlyness is so overwhelming. And the amount of people buying it is disheartening. Anyway my minutes up. Good to reacquaint.

Thanks dude.

Ironically, I really miss bartending, I know that is usually not advised in AA, but the social aspect of it really helps me.

The social aspects of anything help me.

I am far more concerned about the mental and social health of my friends and family than I ever will be about this disease that has a 00.003 percent mortality rate for those under 50

Ya I can see AA “not recommending” bar tending as a general principle. For me it was kind of good to see people getting sloppy at one point cuz it reminded me of the shit show that was drinking.

On the friends and family topic. FUCK I KNOW. Savage, it was nice when you knew they weren’t really into looking into things (whether it be oil pipelines through the Middle East or historical bullshit) but you didn’t care cuz there was no immediate threat. Ya things are accelerating now.
