Thanks for sharing Anthony
It's nice to hear a positive message every once in a while, amid the gloom and doom.
Yeah.
I honestly do miss my sobriety, as brief and intermittent as it may be.
It was slightly easier before the lockdowns, when my city mandated that AA meetings were not essential, but liquor stores were.
Not to blame the politicians for my own personal failures, but they certainly didn't help.
In my experience, the most important thing I could do was go to the gym. Doing something that made you feel good, that helps a lot.
Regardless, everything that made me happy and feel healthy isn't allowed anymore.
I miss seeing people smile. I miss working out. I miss all my liberal friends who swallowed the doom virus pill.
It is really easy to grab a bottle of whiskey.
It isn't so easy to be happy.
Welcome back Theo
Welcome back where?
I done been here!
Good to see you too though
Ya for sure , Explanation. I just read your comment and saw the AA meetings closed liquor store open comment. Which put me to thinking about AA and your intermittent sobriety. So I said welcome back (As in this could be a meeting right here) although I should have thanked you for sharing first.
It’s the same every where I was on a committee early on in this flu season and tried to get one of ours to open up. No dice the old timers and new comers are scared of the trickness. they tried doing some outdoor meetings.but I’m sure it’s too cold and wet now. The level of dastardlyness is so overwhelming. And the amount of people buying it is disheartening. Anyway my minutes up. Good to reacquaint.
