I’m 25 and I live in Rhode Island and have a passion for tracking, forecasting and everything weather related. > In 2016 I joined the Skywarn spotter program hoping that can get me further into my love for meteorology. Ever since I was a child I would call my local WJAR NBC 10 station and give them current conditions and storm damage reports. As I got older somebody online guided me towards Twitter. > In 2008 while in middle school as a teen somebody who was working with Twitter gave me beta access to the site. At first I didn’t use it as much since not many people used it. I don’t even remember my old Twitter handle. Well years passed and I started getting into news broadcasting hoping that would get my name out there and it has. Over the years I’ve made some very awesome friends and most of my followers were New England meteorologists and New England based reporters. > Twitter was the one place I could express my love for all things weather. I would spend every hour on that website interacting with my many followers. That was under the handle @AlecDSilva. > One day somebody who I didn’t even know thought it was hilarious to go onto my account and harass me about my looks. I’m overweight and struggle big time with it. When somebody talks about my weight I get upset because I try so hard to lose the pounds but it’s extremely hard. Anyways that person found it funny to then report my account and get it removed from Twitter. That was 11 years gone on that site. Appeal after appeal trying to get my account back it was no use. > I used that account for everything. I created a new account under the username @AlecDeanSilva. With my new account my old followers asked where I’ve been and thanked me for my return. I had to explain to them a not so amusing troll reported me numerous times and got my original account removed after 11 years of use. Everything was going great and I was so happy to be back on the one site I loved more then anything online. > Now going forward a year after creating my new account another idiot felt it was funny to go onto my profile and harass me again about me being fat and retarded. > I took much offense to what he said because at a young age I was diagnosed with Autism. Daily I take medication to keep myself focused and calm. Without my medication I’m not thrilling to be around and I’m truly unfocused. > I don’t understand how that person knew I have a disability but that really set me off. Without thinking I proceeded to call him out and it wasn’t pleasant. Well he reported me for what was said. I as well reported him for his worthless attempt to bully me. Somehow Twitter screwed up in how it reported accounts and accidentally reported me and now him. For that reason my account was removed. > Let me tell you that I’m such an amazing human and will go out of my way to make anybody smile. I work at Stop and Shop on my free time and have had customers ask for my name when they come in because they know I’ll make their day. Even though I have no friends Twitter was the one place I loved and got to express my passion for meteorology hoping some day it would become a career. > A few day’s after being suspended I appealed for my account to come back and Twitter never responded. I created a new account with a different email hoping to start over for the 3rd time but it was no use. The troll got my IP Address banned on Twitter and any account I create just gets suspended automatically. > I feel like Twitter doesn’t want me on their website anymore and I’m truly heartbroken. Twitter was my life. Yes it’s only a website but for somebody with Autism I felt accepted and met some wonderful people who I’ve then talk to every single day. > These past days to week have been rough. I been depressed that nobody wants to talk to me, I’m always bored (not good because when I’m bored that gets me in serious trouble) and now I’m hopeless. > Here’s where you can see my work and see that I’m not somebody looking for sympathy and attention.
