I run bots like this every so often when I'm testing something. Had one called goobfustic that took 5 random words from the standard UNIX dictionary and tweeted them. My ISP was trapping certain properties at the time for advertising so I decided to give them lots of data by searching on random garbage, like 2-5 random words.

Had some people discussing what it was, like it was a conspiracy, and lots of bots re-tweeting and "correcting" my bot. Last one I ran was cheesebot that just tweeted "20 different cheeses just a dollar ninety-nine!" and some random garbage to trip the same-thing filters. That one got some retweets for some reason.

Twitter is 95% bots retweeting bots with random idiots believing every word they say.

That's really no different than real life NPCs.
