A woman from the church I went to before I moved to where I am now was a surrogate for another couple in the church. I don't even think she got paid for it. The couple couldn't have kids themselves and they paid for the whole process, but I am not sure the surrogate woman took any payment for doing it.

Not nearly as many as you'd think, even with the churches getting involved. Most adoption agencies push you to black, brown, and yellow babies because White kids are in demand.
