I'm leaning towards the side of nuking the filibuster. Doing that and actually passing some legislation might be the only thing that saves us from getting crushed in the mid-terms.

The Dems want us dead. Do we really think they aren't going to do this? They are willing to pack the SCOTUS. Why wouldn't they change Senate rules?

I completely understand that argument, and for that exact reason. My concern is the wild swings in legislation every time the party in power changes.

Legitimate concern, but the parties are so divided now that nothing is ever going to get done on the Republican side without switching to a simple majority. There always seem to be asshole Republicans that capitulate to the Democrats but it never works the other way. Outside of Fetterman none of the Democrats are willing to work with us.

The key difference between Red Team jews and Blue Team jews is that Red wants to be liked by Blue, and Blue doesn't give a shit. A friend asked me to look into the Founders' original intent. I have to admit, I'm not sure they wanted a super-majority for anything but specific tasks. If I have time today I'll investigate.
