I'll catch it sometimes on the drive into work if I want get mad or send angry voice messages to my group chats. They have some wildly slanted stories. It helps to know a bit about what your enemies are talking about.
I grew up listening to it, and mostly by my own choice.
I had a small toy radio I used to listen to while I was going to sleep, probably when I was around 6 or 7. I actually think that early episodes of This American Life were brilliant, but I haven't listened to that program in so long, I wonder if I would now hear it differently than I did before.
Sometimes I wonder if listening to too much NPR at such a young age turned my brain soft, and gave me oddly liberal habits, like writing poetry.
