If you need a loan for college, it is already unaffordable. Education is the one thing I would like to see paid for by the government. But we follow the Japanese system were you test the shit out of people so they filed into either college, university, or trade schools.

I would be okay with each state offering to pay for higher education, but definitely not the federal government.

I can see that. But students should be able to move to different states to study certain majors. Say some kid from Louisiana scores high and can get into MIT. One of the first things I see the blue states doing is charging students from red states stupid tuition rates or handing over free schooling to streetshitters.
