Good story. I lived in CA for two years when I got out of school in the late 80’s. Was nice then.

Yep. Late 80s into the late 90s was when I spent a lot of time in CA. It was already getting crappy by the early 2000s.

It's hard to believe a few short years ago we were considering moving out there. So glad we didn't. I'll take below freezing over LA burning to the ground with my family there.

My wife and I were both offered relocation packages at different times by the companies we worked for and we turned them down both times. I'm very glad we did that.
